During the 125th anniversary of our Congregation in 2001, Mayor Ray Rossi presented to us on behalf of the Village of Frankfort a Peace Pole to symbolize our commitment to work for the elimination of violence in our thoughts, words and actions.

The four-sided peace pole, which stands 8 feet tall, is inscribed in four languages with the words, “May peace prevail on earth.”  German, English, Spanish and Portuguese are the languages chosen for these words in order to reflect our ministry in Germany, North America and South America.

Opposite the peace pole stands a life size statue of St. Francis of Assisi whose words are ever
challenging us: “As they announce peace with their lips, let them be careful to have it even more in their own hearts” (TOR Rule and Life, Ch. 1X).
